How do I get started with therapy?
To begin, you can contact me via email, phone or text to schedule an initial consultation (no fee). During this 15–20-minute conversation, we can discuss your needs, what you are hoping for and best next steps. This is also a time for you to get to know me a bit and ask as many questions as you’d like!

What is the best way to contact you?
You can reach me via email, phone or text! All of which are listed on my contact page. Please feel free to leave a message, if I’m unavailable, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

What can I expect during my first session?
In the first session, you will have the opportunity to share and discuss what brings you to therapy. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other and ensure that we are a good match. You can also ask any questions you may have about the therapy process and get a feel if this is what works for you.

Is therapy confidential?
Yes, therapy is designed to be a safe, non-bias, confidential space. However, there are some exceptions to this that I will go over in our first session. This is also detailed in my intake paperwork.

How often will we meet? How long are sessions?
Most people start with weekly sessions, but this can vary based on your needs and schedule. Some individuals may meet less frequently once they start feeling more stable, while others may continue weekly sessions for ongoing support. This is something we can talk about as our sessions and time together progress. Sessions are between 45-50 minutes.

Do you offer online therapy sessions?

Yes, I offer virtual therapy through a secure video platform. This option provides flexibility and convenience, especially for those with busy schedules or those unable to attend in person.

What if I don’t feel comfortable talking about certain things?
It’s completely normal to feel hesitant or uncomfortable at times, therapy can sometime feel like hard work. But I will always respect your boundaries, and we will go at your own pace. Together, we will work together to gradually address difficult topics when you feel ready.

How do I know if I’m making progress in therapy?
Progress in therapy is often gradual, and it can look different for each person I work with. You may start to notice changes in your thinking, emotions, behaviors, or relationships. Together, we will discuss your progress regularly to ensure we are moving toward your goals and touching upon everything that is important to you and the therapeutic process.
